HOW TO ENROL
All enrolments, new and current, are to be accompanied by the yearly $30 enrolment fee. Current students are to re-enrol prior to end of year performance for the following year.
 
NEW STUDENTS
 Enquiries can be made throughout the year and enrolments are accepted providing vacancies are available in the class/es of your choice.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Please see main noticeboard at teh studio or call for information. Class Uniform requirements will be issued on enrolement/request. The uniform/ hairstyles form part of the tradition of Dance. To reach the standards and style necessary for this art form, the uniformity of appearance are rules of the classroom and only benefit the students. No loose clothing e.g. sweaters, t-shirts, track pants or other over clothes to be worn, without permission from the teacher concerned.
 Jewellery is not permitted (except stud earrings). All jewellery must be removed prior to class
Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Theatre and Contemporary R.V.D.A. Uniform.

Pale Pink no sleeved lycra or poly-cotton lycra leotard and a Pale Pink crossover

Matching regulation Pale Pink Skirt.(Optional until Primary classical)

Pink Tights

Pink leather ballet shoes with elastic sewn across insteps

 Hair to be pulled back off the face into a bun with either a headband or nice hair ribbon.

Intermediate:

Navy Blue  sleeveless or capped sleeved "V" necked leotard or Russian style leotard
(no crisscross straps) in cotton lycra and georgette wrap skirt with matching ribbon in hair.

Pink tights.

Pink ballet shoes with ribbons OR canvas shoes with matte ribbons.

Pink pointe shoes for
pointe section.


Advanced 1:

As for Intermediate only pink demi-pointe shoes are to worn instead of ballet shoes.
(Category B candidates may wear ballet shoes, if preferred).


Advanced 2:

Navy Blue  sleeveless or capped sleeved "V" necked leotard or Russian style leotard (no
crisscross straps) in cotton lycra

Navy blue ½ tutu to be worn for all centre work (for examinations)
Either soft pointe or demi- pointe shoes

Full Strength Pointe shoes to be worn only for pointe work section.
Mature Category B candidates may have elastics on ballet shoes

 

CLASSICAL BALLET BOYS UNIFORM:        

 

PRE-PRIMARY – GRADE 3

Black bike shorts,

White fitted t-shirt (tucked in),

long white socks,

black or white ballet shoes with
white elastic.

Mature students may wear navy or burgundy tights with leotard or fitted t-shirt.


GRADE 4 – MAJORS
Navy blue or burgundy tights or all-overs.

Athletic support

White leotard.

White socks.

White or black ballet shoes with white elastic
Boys also have the option of a two toned cotton lycra footless unitard with tank top in Navy/White or nylon capped sleeve footless unitard in Black/Grape available only from Sansha Australia.

CONTEMPORARY CLASS UNIFORM 

For these levels the classes are danced barefoot

Black footless tights, black leotard or allover or black jazz/ bootleg pants and crop top. Bare feet

 

Grade 3 to 4 level GIRLS

The regulation HOT PINK R.V.D.A. uniform top and shorts with tan stirrup or footless tights

Optional choice of black footless or stirrup tights.

Skin coloured toe thongs (Optional)

Hair to be neatly pulled off the face with either:

  1. Hot pink or black ribbon.
  2. Hot pink or Black Scrunchie
  3. Hot pink or Black Headband

 

 

SENIOR AND ADVANCED GIRLS

Black Leotard of your choice or RVDA Regulation midriff tops and leggings.

Black footless or Stirrup tights

Toe Thongs (optional)

Socks must not be worn for travelling exercises only floorwork

Hair to be pulled back off the face into a ponytail or bun

 

BOYS:

Black footless  tights /black bike pants or black contemporary pants      

Black  t-shirt or Muscle top well fitted

GIRLS HIP HOP and JAZZ CLASSES UNIFORM

(Hippity Hop to Advanced levels)

 

All Students are to wear runners for Hip Hop

(not jazz shoes except Hippity Hop)

 

GIRLS: Hippity Hop through to the Grade 4 level

The regulation HOT PINK R.V.D.A. uniform with tan tights with black high top runners for Hip Hop (eg converse etc) and Tan Jazz shoes for Jazz classes

HOT PINK R.V.D.A uniform includes, shorts and top. May alternate the shorts with black loose fitting cargo pants for Hip Hop

Hair to be neatly pulled off the face with either:

  1. Hot pink or black ribbon.
  2. Hot pink or Black Scrunchie

GIRLS:  Grade 5 to Senior/Adv level

The regulation BLACK R.V.D.A uniform with tan tights with black high top runners for Hip Hop (eg converse etc) and Tan Jazz shoes for Jazz classes

 

BLACK R.V.D.A uniform includes, shorts, crop tights  and either (or both) long line or crop top. May alternate the shorts with black loose fitting cargo pants for Hip Hop or Jazz pants for Jazz class.

Hair to be neatly pulled off the face for all Jazz classes.

Advanced Hip Hop and Jazz may also wear a free choice of dance wear, but must be neatly presented as a dancer. Untidy appearance will not be accepted and you may be asked to sit out class

 

 

BOYS HIP HOP and JAZZ CLASSES

(Hippity Hop to Advanced levels)

 

All Students are to wear runners (not jazz shoes except Hippity Hop)

BOYS: Hippity Hop through to the Grade 4 level

Black cargo or loose fitting pants, Black High Top runners (Hip Hop classes only)

Black Ultra Flex jazz shoes for Jazz classes,

Black muscle t shirt or black loose fitting t-shirt for Hip Hop  (Hip Hop classes only)

Black Jazz pants for Jazz classes only

Athletic support

 

TAP, THEATRE, ACRO CLASSES UNIFORM

 

Uniform as per Jazz Classes with the addition of:

TAP: Tan Tap Shoes

JAZZ: Girls: Tan Ultra Flex Jazz shoes Boys: Black Jazz Shoes

THEATRE: Tan Jazz Shoes or Ballet Shoes as per routine

ACRO: No Loose Tops or Windcheaters, Jazz Uniform to be worn. Runners that are worn in this class must not be worn outside. Shoes as per Hip Hop (Black High Top Sneakers)

FEE SCHEDULE 2018
TERM FEES PAYABLE STRICTLY IN ADVANCE
(4 Terms per year of approximately between 8 to 11 weeks duration)
No refunds given on missed classes.
Fee rates are based on a class of a ½ hour duration.
 
 
Enrolment membership fee of $30 per student is due each year
 
Please Note: 
Term fees are paid in full pior to the first enroled class of each term, after this time or fees paid in installments will incur an additional cost.
Students are not admitted into classs until outstanding term fees are paid.
  
ALL FEES ARE INCLUSIVE OF 10% G.S.T.

Beginning rates for 1 class weekly per term are as above.
A discount is offered for multiple classes per week.
For a fee schedule please contact the academy.
Unlimited classes are available at no extra charge after the 8th class per week.
 
School Age Boy's half price fees for the first year of tuition. (3yrs to 17yrs of age)
10% Discount to families of 2 or more that enrol in more than 2 classes each per term
(not applicable with boys on half price fees)
 
Term fees must be paid in full, prior to the first enroled class of each term.  
  If classes are missed due to illness or injury, students may make them up (within the same term only) provided there is another class of similar standard available. 
Rates are not altered for the number of weeks in the term or for extra increase of time above the normal, as the cost balances in favour of the student.
Students only attending a partial term due to an extended holiday are required to pay a holding fee of 25% to maintain their place within the class.
 
FEES   ARE   NOT   REFUNDABLE
There are no refunds on any classes missed or if a student withdraws from the Academy after commencing the term or through the cancellation of classes beyond the control of the Academy.
CLASS TRANSFERS OR DROPPING A CLASS 
Students may not transfer from one class to another class once the term has commenced.
The term must be completed within the class you have enrolled. If you intend to drop or withdraw from a class for any reason, then your term fee for that class is forfeited. Progress is dependant on all students working not only individually but as a team member of the class.

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
 
An annual end of year production is held in a professional theatre. This is the highlight of the Academy's year where students are able to showcase their talents. Students have the opportunity to participate in this production to showcase their progress. A NON-REFUNDABLE Performance Levy of $35 per student or $55 per family is charged yearly.
 
Photo Sessions
Photo sessions are held in mid November prior to the annual end of year performance
Photo session booking fee of $16 per student or $26 for families ,is required to confirm attendance
Photo Call Dates booked for 2018:  to be confirmed
Friday 16th November 2018 (Prim to Grade 2) and Sunday 18th November 2018 (Grade 3 and above). 
(students actual date and time confirmation is distributed after all booking forms are received)
 
Costumes
No dress making required. All costumes are made and supplied for a hire fee (non refundable). Costumes are not hired for outside use or taken home during performances. On some occasions students are required to put together an easy costume for Stagecraft ,Street dance, Hip Hop and other classes. Costume hire fees vary from $48 - $80 per costume depending on style and fabrics used. Costume hire accounts are issued in term 3-4. Costumes  hire fee is non-refundable under any circumstance.

EXAMINATIONS
 Examinations are offered to students training in Cecchetti Classical Ballet, Modern Contemporary Dance classes and A.T.O.D. Hip Hop and Jazz Moves. Teacher training and status examination preparation course. Prices on application. examinations are not compulsory.
